On the way to Mount Shasta, here in California - Kuba thought it was a cloud!
Mas antes de chegar la a gente parou em Redding. Redding eh uma cidade meio que no meio do nada (ao Norte de Sacramento). Nao tem nada pra fazer la...a unica coisa "famosa" de Redding eh um parque chamado Turtle Bay onde tem uma ponte chamada "Sundial bridge" ou seja, a ponte do relogio solar - ta certo que a traducao nao esta ao pe da letra, mas esse eh o nome. Essa ponte foi projetada pelo Santiago Calatrava (lembra da Cidades das artes em Valencia??) e pois isso a gente foi la ver.. hehe
Before we got to Shasta we stopped in Redding. Redding is this city kind of in the middle of nowhere (North of Sacramento). There is nothing really to do there except for this one park called Turtle Bay where there is a bridge called Sundial bridge. This bridge was designed by Santiago Calatrava (remember the city of arts in Valencia?) and so, that is why we went there... to see it.

O "relogio solar" marcando meio dia. Essas pedrinhas brancas estavam marcando a hora.. O relogio marca hora de 15 em 15 minutos (quero dizer, a sombra chega na proxima pedrinha) entre as 10 da manha e as 4 da tarde.
The sun clock marks noon. Those white rocks show the times... The shade of the bridge tells the time every 15 minutes between 10am and 4pm.
